I meet a lot of people who've been sitting on a business idea for years, waiting until they have it all figured out before they start. I understand the instinct. I just don't think it works, and I've watched it keep good ideas stuck on a shelf far longer than necessary.
A business plan is useful. A perfect one, worked out down to every detail before you take a single action, usually isn't — because half of what you're planning for will change the moment real customers show up. What actually moves a dream business forward is a first, concrete step: register the entity, open the account, talk to one real potential client, price one real job.
Momentum teaches you things a plan on paper never will. My job as a consultant isn't to hand someone a flawless roadmap — it's to help them take the first real step safely, and then build the plan around what they learn from actually doing it.
